Born in Saginaw Michigan, Mr. Turner traveled around the country a lot after high school, working in the film and theatre industry, trying to figure out where he belonged. His journey started at the University of Hartford: Hartt School of Music where he spent a semester in the UK , studying at Oxford and with the Royal Shakespeare Company. He received a BFA in Classical Theatre.

He then moved around and acted in several Shakespeare festivals around the country before landing in Hollywood where he worked as a writer, director, and actor. He then made the move to New York where he acted in several off Broadway plays, and a film that won the Oscar for Best Movie.

He then got his Masters degree in Theatre Education at the City College of New York, and he began his journey as a teacher in New York. He created a new film theatre program at a fine arts high school that never had one before, and decided to bring his talent to Texas, to continue on building and growing programs. After a few years all around Texas., Mr. Turner is happy to call Kingwood Texas, and Kingwood Park High School his new home, and is excited for what the future has to offer.
